THE GOALS OF COACHING

Mindevelopment’s greatest achievement is witnessing how the people we have worked with become more involved in their professional lives and more independent at the same time. It is a bit like taking them out of a box and help them obtain a much clearer view of their surrounding professional environment, starting from the effects (which are way more powerful than we can imagine) of their behaviours on others.

Managerial ability is strengthened when, together with one’s core technical skills, we become able to bring out and enhance the “soft skills” necessary to more effectively interact with the people around us.

Coaching serves to identify intangible resources and qualities, usually “poorly perceived” or partly “unused” – and make them more visible. It facilitates a gradually increased awareness of one’s full potential cognitive and relational abilities.

THE MINDEVELOPMENT APPROACH

Mindevelopment professional coaches operate according to ICF (International Coaching Federation) standards, and their experience extends to various business fields

Our approach, which includes aptitude tests, interviews, interactions in ad hoc situations and one-on-one sessions, allows individuals to develop interaction abilities (interpersonal skills), at first with a coach, and then directly, in their environment.

MIND DEVELOPMENT
AND PERSONAL EMPOWERMENT:

THE CENTRALITY OF LISTENING

LISTENING is a core concept with which the most common communication dysfunctions are associated.

Listening can truly become our best ally both in our personal and professional lives, provided we gain new perspective – that is, trying to understand others, instead of just wanting to respond to what they are saying.

What often happens in our daily communication, much more than we realize, is that we don’t listen to understand, but rather to respond. Clearing our minds of any filters or prejudices during the ‘listening’ phase to ultimately reach the ideal condition, “understanding what the other person is not saying” (Carlo Rogers), is essential if we are to grasp the essence of the situation we are facing.

Accessing the fullest possible potential of our minds

This is the idea behind our work, as well as the name Mindevelopment. We are all the result of an incredible amount of information and stimuli, moment by moment, in our personal and our professional lives. The ability to manage and use them in the best way possible is perhaps the real secret to feeling fully accomplished.
